About me
I am a passionate counsellor with experience in delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as well as many other approached. I'm dedicated to helping individuals understand the deep connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Through CBT and other modalities, I guide people in recognising and challenging thought patterns, fostering healthier ways of coping with life's challenges.
Over the years I've gained experience in many areas & modalities of therapy so my approach is to bring this to the therapy room to meet the needs of my clients and ensure they have a good therapy experience.
No matter the presenting issue, my goal is to provide a supportive and structured environment for positive change.

Diploma in Counselling and groupwork - A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Approach
Group Crisis Intervention - icisf approved.
I'm a qualified CBT Therapist, with 7 years experience and have been an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) since October 2020.
I have have experience in working in Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), high intensity CBT services, as well as working in my own private practice.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Critical incident stress management - This is a technique that helps people cope with the psychological and physical effects of traumatic events. It's often used to help first responders, such as police and fire personnel, deal with the aftermath of a critical incident.
