I work with adults and young adults  who may be experiencing concerns related to anxiety, adhd, emotional  disregulation , trauma,  interpersonal and relationship challenges , low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, loneliness, stress and overwhelm.

I have a specialism in supporting neuro-diverse clients (ADHD, ASC),  and clients who have experienced trauma and emotional neglect in childhood (ACES / CEN).

I can use a variety of modalities within my sessions to tailor the therapy to your specific needs. These include:

  • Person-Centred, Integrated Approaches.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy resources (CBT)
  • Compassionate approaches.
  • Solution focused brief therapy
  • Coaching/Mentoring skills
  • IEMT ( integrated eye movements)

My main aim as a counsellor is to help you to work through your challenges and concerns in a way that empowers you to achieve your personal and life goals.

I provide a listening ear and an empathic witness to your life experiences and can assist you to live an authentic life that brings purpose and satisfaction.

Let me assure you that with the right support and understanding you can work through all your challenges and concerns, process the past, self regulate better and improve your mental health and overall well being.

I can help you to get out of threat mode and into a soothe system where you are more grounded, and assured.

I offer 50 minute therapy sessions via phone, online (Zoom) or face to face within my newly converted counselling room. This is located at my property in Penketh, Warrington. I provide you with   a confidential, comfortable, relaxing space for sessions.

I can be flexible regarding appointment times as counselling is my only full time profession.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
