About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist who works with individuals who want to explore their relationships with self, others and the world. You may have had persistent experiences of distress, dissatisfaction or not belonging or more recently been surprised by difficult or confusing feelings. I am committed to an anti-oppressive and decolonial practice and am attentive to the structural (external) forces which bear on our collective wellbeing, as well as what goes on between people and in one's own mind.
I draw on a variety of thinking including psychoanalysis, intersubjective and existential psychotherapy, and Transactional Analysis.
I work co-creatively and collaboratively towards building a deeper understanding of oneself in the world, how to make meaning and build a reflective practice which enriches and sustains life. The pace of the work and the lenses through which we view your struggles and interests is very much something we will construct together.
I aIso hold degrees in English (BA), Critical Theory (MA) and American Studies (PhD) and have worked as a strength and conditioning coach prior to training as a psychotherapist. An interest in literature, philosophy, physical training and creativity informs my ways of thinking and working. Thank you for considering therapy with me.
