About me
Hello, I'm Jill, I'm an integrative therapist with a real passion for working with other neurodivergent women in an affirming way, towards understanding the whole picture of who you are and unlocking any limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck.
I have lived experience of this journey of self-discovery as an ADHD woman, and of making sense of past experiences and relationships through a completely new lens. I’ll work with you in a holistic way to meet your needs through developing a therapeutic relationship that takes your whole self and situation into consideration. I can help you learn to manage your energy to avoid or recover from burnout.
When we first meet, we'll explore what's brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve, in order to begin to put together an idea of which approaches might work best for you. I have a wide range of tools and techniques that we can explore together, often tackling feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and complex trauma.
I believe we need to know who we are; where we’ve come from; and have a source of secure connection in life - whether that's within ourselves or in our relationships with others - in order to truly thrive. Therapy is a collaborative process, I'm not here with answers or advice but I'd love to work with you as you set out on your own journey.
I have worked in different contexts over the past few years with a number of women with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD, and engage in continual learning about working with neurodivergence within the therapeutic relationship.
Training, qualifications & experience
Before qualifying as an integrative counsellor I trained as a professional coach, specialising mainly in work with neurodivergent entrepreneurs. My work has always been very person centred and client led. No matter what your needs or situation, when we begin to work together, I will take time to understand what life is like for you, beyond any labels or assumptions. We can work through issues relating to the past, present, and future to explore whatever you would like to dig deeper into. You are in the driving seat and I'm here as your guide.
I was a teacher for almost 20 years, with experience in school leadership for wellbeing and inclusion, before training in coaching and then integrative counselling. In a way, I see this as one career, working to help break down barriers to contentment and fulfillment.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
