About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist with a wide range of experience in life and relationship difficulties. I have significant experience in working with people who have experienced trauma and can offer Somatic Trauma Therapy as well as being an EMDR practitioner. I am particularly specialised in working with end of life, bereavement, long term health conditions and loss. I offer one-to-one client sessions in Clapham Junction (Battersea, Wandsworth, Fulham, Clapham) and the Brixton/Tulse Hill areas. Both venues are just a few minutes from tube / rail stations. I also offer a full range of online counselling services including via email, SMS text messaging and Skype / Whatsapp. I can offer you a tailored package of client sessions that suits you. My focus is on supporting each client to achieve what they hope for in life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MSc Therapeutic Counselling (with Distinction, from a BACP accredited course) and am certificated in Online Counselling. I have completed a Diploma in Somatic Trauma Therapy accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I am also a registered EMDR practitioner. I am experienced in working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have particular expertise in supporting clients with long term health conditions and those suffering from losses, anxiety and traumas including bereavement.
I was previously a journalist including as a BBC Producer and as former Editor of the international journal Bereavement Care. I am also an artist published by Gost Books.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe in psychotherapy because it helped me to change my life. I can offer you understanding and non-judgmental support while you work through the challenges you are facing. I can offer you a safe, confidential space to raise issues and feelings that are difficult to share with others who are close to you. Therapy does not need to take a long time and it does not mean you have to start by talking about your childhood. We can work on what is on your mind now and focus on what you feel is most important.
