About me

Hi, I’m Jess I work with you, providing a warm and welcoming space.  To meet you where you are, to understand what you need and to help you move forward. Together, in this confidential and collaborative space, we work to understand the challenges you’re facing, to build greater self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence. In the sessions we work to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. To help you feel heard and make positive changes.

My approach is integrative, using elements of Person Centred, Gestalt, Existential and creative methods  to help you remove blocks, feel empowered and move forward in your life. I provide  walk and talk, online and face to face sessions through  my private practice in Hurstpierpoint.

I work with adults and young people across a broad range of challenges to include ADHD, AFRID, Anxiety, Autism, Bereavement, Dementia, Depression, Family issues, Loss, Low mood, and Self-harm.

I have personally found counselling to be an empowering and rewarding experience. I  am passionate about my work and dedicated to supporting others see and understand themselves more clearly.

I offer an initial free 15 minute phone call where you can meet me and ask any questions you may have.

The first session.

In the first counselling session,  I will take your details and we will discuss what has brought you to counselling. You will be able to ask any questions that you have. I will go through the counselling process and we will agree on how we are going to work together to support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
