About me
It’s really important to find the right counsellor, someone you can connect with easily, speak freely and feel understood. I hope I can make the process a little easier by sharing some of my background and how I work.
I’m an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor, with more than 10 years in private practice and I'm fully accredited by BACP. I specialise in working with people with a wide range of issues and can help you with:
- anxiety
- depression,
- relationship issues
- self-confidence
- self-esteem
- life transitions
- career
- stress
- bereavement
- trauma
- difficult childhood experiences
My approach is based on creating a safe space for you to share what’s troubling you, work through unresolved issues and gain new perspectives to make the changes you feel are right for you. I value connection and trust, which makes it possible to work through difficult experiences and find new ways of dealing with challenging situations.
How we work will be completely individual to your needs as no life situation is ever experienced in the same way by two different people. I like to understand what’s important to each person and connect at whatever level you feel your life needs attending to. This could mean working through difficult life experiences, tackling unhelpful beliefs or thinking patterns, unpacking relationship issues, processing unresolved feelings or moving forward from a difficult place.
I tend to work in the here-and-now as it’s only in the present that we can make changes, let go of old patterns, wounds, painful memories and unhelpful beliefs, and be able to create something different.
Qualifications and approaches to therapy
My core training is in Gestalt therapy and I hold a diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute, which is one of the UK's leading psychotherapy training institutes. I also hold a diploma in REBT/CBT from the College of Cognitive Behavioural Studies, and have trained in couples therapy at the Relational Academy. My integrative approach to multiple models of therapy allow me to quickly find a way of working together to address an extremely wide range of life challenges.
I’m happy to discuss any areas of your life that are troubling you. Please call me on 07515 570689 or email me.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
