Training, qualifications & experience

During my 20yr NHS career I was privileged to work within Perinatal Mental Health Services, providing holistic support to people as they navigated diverse aspects of their lives while promoting and safeguarding their mental wellbeing

Understanding the complexities of family dynamics, I offer therapeutic counselling for individuals and parents, with inclusive sessions where children under 2 are welcome to attend.

I have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse clients in their journey toward self-understanding. Having completed the Oliver McGowan training, I am committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice and provide a compassionate space for self-acceptance, guided by empathy and respect.

My counselling services support neurodivergent individuals and adults, as well as specialised parent/child sessions designed to help you navigate your parenting journey in a nurturing environment along with couples and family dynamics sessions.

I also offer Reiki and counselling to support emotional release, ease tension, and restore balance especially during times of change, stress, or trauma. These gentle, holistic approaches help reconnect you with your inner calm and clarity.

I understand that our past experiences particularly those involving change or trauma can deeply affect how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. My approach is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Whether you're seeking to heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, or simply find your footing, I’m here to help you discover your peace of mind.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
