About me

Specialist child psychotherapy for young people age 0 - 25. Help with emotional, behaviour and mental health problems. As well as therapeutic support for parents and carers.

Sessions with children, Adolescents and Young Adult

I offer session with children, adolescent and young adults from 5 - 25 years old. The treatment can be short or long term, depending on what will be most helpful. The sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes.

Prenatal and Postnatal Work

The arrival of a new baby or being pregnant can be a very unsettling time and cause considerable upheaval to the balance of your life. I offer a six session intervention to help with adjusting to pregnancy or parenthood, fear of childbirth or birthing trauma, low mood, bonding issues and managing a baby who is difficult to sooth. Fathers and couples are very welcome, and longer term work can be negotiated if necessary.

Parent-Infant/young child psychotherapy (0-5 years-old)

I offer therapeutic sessions for families with babies and children up to 5 years-old who have difficulties with settling and sleeping, being too clingy or separation anxiety, severe long lasting tantrums, hair pulling, head banging, excessive crying, toilet training problems, soiling and constipation, prolonged night terrors, eating difficulties, attachment/bonding difficulties. Some sessions will involve parents and the child, and some sessions will involve parents only.

Parental Consultation and Support

I offer one off or ongoing consultation and support work around children and adolescent mental health, for parents and carers to receive support and guidance on how to support their child. It is a thinking space where parents/carers can be honest about their feelings and frustrations. The work may also focus on helping the parent make sense of the child's behaviour, as well as how the parent's own issues might interfere with their ability as parents.

Consultations with Professionals

I offer consultation to support other professionals who work with children and young people including teachers, social work, health visitors, doctors, nursery staff and youth workers. The work is to help professionals gain a deeper understanding of the child's perspective so that they can best meet the child's need.

I also offer clinical supervision - In Person Online, Phone
