About me

Many people seek counselling when they’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, low self‑esteem, relationship difficulties, loss or a period of uncertainty. Talking with someone outside your day‑to‑day life can help you make sense of what’s happening and begin to develop coping strategies for the future.

I support adults who are navigating anxiety, intrusive thoughts, burnout, grief, neurodiversity and the longer‑term impact of difficult or traumatic experiences. I have worked in settings supporting adults with complex emotional needs, a background of domestic abuse, substance use difficulties, bereavement, fertility challenges and suicidal ideation.

My approach  is calm, steady and collaborative. I don’t sit in silence or leave you to figure things out alone — I walk alongside you, helping you understand what’s happening internally and why it makes sense. I draw on relational, trauma‑informed approaches and practical psychological tools to help you feel more grounded and in control.

How I work
* Calm, steady and collaborative
* Trauma‑informed and relational
* Clear explanations to help you understand what’s happening internally
* Space to slow down, reflect and make sense of your experiences
* Practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control

Who I work well with
I specialise in working with people who are finding their footing again after a breaking point — a moment when life has felt too heavy, too fast or simply too much.

People often come to me when they’re experiencing:

* emotional overwhelm
* a sense of being stuck or lost
* burnout or exhaustion
* the after‑effects of trauma or difficult experiences
* a major life shift or turning point

What to expect in your first session
We’ll explore what brings you to counselling at this point in your life, what you’re hoping for, and how you’ll know if therapy is helping. We work at your pace, whether you want to explore long‑standing patterns or focus on a specific issue.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
