About me
Welcome! I’m Jen – Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
Are you ready to take the next step towards greater wellbeing?
I’m Jen, a warm, experienced, and highly qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist based in Leicestershire. I offer both one-to-one and group sessions—either in person or online, depending on your preference.
My main approach is CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which I often integrate with other powerful methods like:
Counselling
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness practices
Together, we’ll use a tailored blend of techniques to support you through a range of challenges, including:
✅ Anxiety & Panic Attacks
✅ Social Anxiety & OCD
✅ Depression & Low Mood
✅ Low Self-Esteem
✅ Trauma & Stress
...and much more.
What Makes My Approach Different?
You’re not a diagnosis or a label—you’re a whole, unique person. I believe in a bespoke, flexible approach that’s responsive to you. We’ll work together to understand your story, clarify your goals, and create meaningful change in a space that feels safe, respectful, and compassionate.
From your first session, we’ll focus on:
Understanding the roots of your difficulties
Exploring what you’d like life to look like post-therapy
Equipping you with knowledge, tools, and techniques
Setting achievable tasks between sessions to build real-world progress
Whether it’s a shorter course of 6–20 sessions or longer-term support for more complex concerns, your journey will always be collaborative and tailored to you.

Training, qualifications & experience
I bring over a decade of experience as a CBT Psychotherapist within the NHS, where I had the privilege of supporting a wide range of individuals through life’s challenges. For the past three years, I’ve been working in the Higher Education sector, offering psychological therapy to students navigating the pressures of university life.
Alongside this, I currently work with BUPA and run my own private practice, offering flexible support tailored to each individual. I’m also passionate about supporting fellow therapists and offer clinical supervision to both trainees and experienced CBT practitioners.
My qualifications reflect my commitment to this work: I hold an MSc in Counselling Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychological Interventions (BABCP-accredited), a Higher Education Certificate in Counselling, and a BSc in Social Psychology.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
