About me
Hello, I’m Jennie, an integrative counsellor based in Cheshire. I offer face-to-face counselling in a dedicated garden room, as well as online sessions.
People often come to counselling when they feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, or when they find themselves repeating patterns that are difficult to change. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, low mood, or the lasting impact of past experiences. Sometimes people simply need a safe, supportive space to think things through and feel heard.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and at your own pace. My approach is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred, CBT, and Psychodynamic ideas, which allows me to adapt our work to what feels most helpful for you.
Alongside private practice, I have experience working with the mental health charity Mind, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds. I am a qualified, insured counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
If you’re considering counselling, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I offer a space where we can explore what’s going on for you in a way that feels safe, steady, and supportive, helping you build understanding and find ways forward that feel right for you.

How can I help?
I tailor each session to your needs and pace, so we can work at a depth and speed that feels comfortable for you. I work integratively, drawing on approaches such as CBT, Psychodynamic theory, and Person-Centred therapy, always with a focus on wellbeing, healing, and resilience.
The simple power of being listened to and understood can be the first step in your healing journey. If you feel we might be a good fit, you're very welcome to get in touch to see how we could work together.
We can work to:
- Understand patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviour
- Manage anxiety, stress, or difficult emotions
- Build confidence, resilience, and self-compassion
- Navigate relationships or life changes
- Gain perspectives on behaviours, emotions and relationships
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
