About me
I am a qualified counselling and clinical supervisor with over 12 years experience. Taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, but it is also a powerful step toward understanding yourself and creating positive change. My aim is to provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, or feeling stuck or overwhelmed. You may not have a clear reason at all - only a sense that something doesn’t feel right. Whatever brings you here, you are welcome.
My approach is compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and counselling can help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that brings greater clarity and self-awareness. Together, we can work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Counselling is your space. It is a place where you can be heard, understood, and supported as you explore challenges, make sense of difficult experiences, and develop ways to move forward.
If you are considering counselling, I invite you to get in touch for an initial conversation. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and decide whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you.
You don’t have to face things alone
In addition to my counselling work, I am also a qualified clinical supervisor, providing professional supervision for counsellors, therapists, and other helping professionals. Supervision offers a reflective and supportive space to explore client work, professional development, and the challenges that can arise within therapeutic practice. I have worked within a nhs setting managing and supervising counsellors and other health care professionals
Sessions are held in a private and confidential setting either face to face in Canterbury or virtually.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
