About me
Hi! I'm Jay,
✨ A pluralistic counsellor + psychotherapist for people who want real talk, real tools, and a space that actually feels safe.
Level 5 qualified, trauma-informed, disability-friendly, and here for the girlies, the chronically overwhelmed, the anxious brains, the overthinkers, the burnt-out high achievers, and anyone who’s just tired of carrying everything alone.
Reaching out is ridiculously brave — genuinely — and my whole vibe is making therapy feel less clinical and more human. Think: soft lighting, hot water bottles, lattes, zero judgement, and a space where your nervous system can finally unclench.
Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience of chronic illness and neurological conditions, which allows me to deeply understand the grief, fear, identity shifts, burnout, and unpredictability that can come with living in a body that doesn’t always feel reliable.
Basically, if your nervous system is a bit chaotic sometimes… same. Tremors, brain fog moments, needing regular toilet breaks, forgetting what you were saying halfway through a sentence, fatigue crashes, awkward body things, same - no judgement here, I have got you.
🧠 How I work
I’m a pluralistic counsellor, which basically means I mix and match approaches to suit you — your personality, your pace, your life.
Sessions stay relaxed, grounded, and honest. If you need to laugh, cry, ramble, pause, or sit with a warm drink for a minute — we go with it.
💛 My main areas
Over time, I’ve specialised in:
• Anxiety + overthinking spirals
• Low self-esteem + identity work (hi self-sabotage, your days are numbered)
• Addiction
• Chronic illness + MS/FND/ME support
• Relationship wobbles + nervous system stress
• “I’m fine but also… not fine?” vibes
I also have worked with charities supporting gambling addiction, Currently a counsellor for MS Together and MS society, so my work goes far beyond the therapy room.
🧩 Accessibility + inclusivity
If you have a disability, chronic condition, or specific needs — just tell me. We adapt. Therapy shouldn’t feel like you’re trying to squeeze yourself into a space that wasn’t designed for you.
I hold an enhanced DBS and work with adults only.
💻 Session style
Remote — phone or Teams.
