About me
I understand if you're feeling that taking the first steps into counselling is daunting and scary. You may not be feeling yourself at the moment, or you haven't felt yourself for a while. Maybe you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or issues relating to work, family, friendships, or relationships. You may want to vent and talk with someone non-judgemental and neutral, who wants to help you explore and understand these feelings and your points of view.
Maybe you’ve never had an opportunity to share your life story, and this feels like the biggest, scariest and most difficult thing to do.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, that has studied different therapeutic approaches, allowing me to find the best way to support you on your journey of self-awareness. Combining different approaches together giving you the best outcome. My preferred approach is person centred with a lean towards transactional analysis, however I am flexible if I feel another approach will suit your need.
I work with clients from diverse backgrounds with many different concerns and reasons for accessing counselling, for example; LGBTQ+, low mood, anxiety, trauma, loss, self-esteem, self-confidence and relationship issues. I make your individuality and your personality the most important thing in my approach, ensuring your needs and goals are the focus of our work together.
My approach to working with you within our sessions is putting your individuality at the forefront. I will do this by offering you empathy and validation of your feelings and point of view with no judgment. I believe this is absolutely key for you to gain self-awareness and respond to your own personal needs.
In the hope that you gain self-growth and acceptance of you as a person.
However, my role is not to just listen to you, then give you advice on what to do. My role is to support you on your own personal journey with no judgement, so that you can freely express what you think or feel but always by your side to emotionally hold you when things get tough.
Whilst working together in my private practice I can offer you a comfortable, nurturing and confidential space. We can build a trusting relationship with respect and empathy.
My aim is to work empathically alongside you, on your journey, through all of the ups and downs. In the hope that this will enable you to feel heard and seen with me by your side supporting you to fully explore your thoughts, feelings and aspirations.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
