About me
“From time to time we all struggle. Our thoughts can become jumbled and life seems difficult and sometimes even unbearable. In therapy, we can explore your struggles be they old or new and look to identify the roots of your pain.”
Jay has long been passionate about Mental Health issues and has dedicated himself to helping others. He has trained over many years and gained experience in dealing with a multitude of problems both complex and simple. His client base has included individuals suffering from common mental health problems as well as trauma and PTSD and he has worked extensively with autistic people. What he has learned is that if you are open to the idea of change in your life then you can overcome almost any obstacle in your path. By coming to understand the real root of our problems we can begin to transform how we see them.
There are many approaches to counselling and psychotherapy and as an Integrative Counsellor, he believes that a blend of various therapeutic approaches can provide a powerful way to meet your unique needs.
In the past, Jay served in the British military as an Aircraft Engineer and subsequently in senior management roles in the corporate sphere. His understanding of the pressures faced by all people in all areas of life is gained through both personal experience and exposure to very disparate people in all walks of life.
In his private practice, Jay sees clients at his office in Worcester Park, Surrey. Clients can choose from face to face, remote video and telephone sessions.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
