There are times in life when something happens that changes the shape of everything.
Trauma, grief, loss, illness, or a significant life change can leave us trying to find our way through a world that no longer feels quite as familiar as it once did. Sometimes what has happened can feel very close, present in our thoughts, our relationships, our bodies, and in the quieter moments of everyday life.
My work centres around rehabilitation. Not a return to who you were before, but a gentle finding of your way into who you are now.
I offer a warm and compassionate space where your experience can be held with care, almost like a sanctuary for the parts of your experience that may not yet have had the time, safety or space to be heard. There is no need to rush, minimise what has happened, or make sense of everything all at once.
Together, we can gently make room for what you have experienced. We can honour the person you had to be to survive, to cope, to keep going; while beginning to discover what it might mean to live differently now.
Sometimes, when an experience has been given space to be felt, understood and processed, it can begin to soften. Not disappear, and not become something that needs to be forgotten, but perhaps become quieter, less demanding of your attention, less able to shape every moment of your everyday life.
I don't believe that healing means leaving parts of ourselves behind. Perhaps it is more about learning how to carry our experiences with greater tenderness, and finding ways of living that make room for both what has been lost and what is still here.
Therapy can be a place to pause, to breathe, and to be met exactly where you are.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
