Janet Smith Acr Mbr, Master Prac NLP, Clinical Hypnosis
Due to the impact of Covid19 I would like to inform you that all sessions are now taking place online. I can assure you that I have worked online for many years and have a lot of experience working this way. Whatever you are dealing with right now, I will be flexible and adaptable using a variety of methods to help you as we travel through this pandemic and beyond; building a brighter future.
Your self care is more essential than ever right now and in these difficult times it is important to pay attention to your emotional wellbeing and mental health.
If you would like to know more about working with me, I do offer a free 30 minute initial consultation and this will now take place through video conferencing such as Face Time, Skype, Whats app or Zoom. To find out more, send me a message and I look forward to chatting to you.
At Janet Smith Emotional Wellness Coaching I offer a bespoke integrative approach using counselling, coaching and hypnosis to help people struggling with emotional distress. I will create a bespoke treatment plan for each individual, calling on a wide range of therapies/interventions to support positive change.
I believe that everything that has ever happened has brought you to this point and it is important that we explore the past themes of your life, in order to better understand what is causing your current issue. I will support you on a journey to live the life you were born to live.
I use a combination of counselling models from Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, ACT and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I combine counselling, hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Coaching, Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques to help clients who are experiencing emotional distress. Some of the key areas I work in are:-
- Loss & Bereavement
- Stress & Anxiety
- Relationship issues
- Emotional Eating/Eating Disorders & Weight Loss
- Work/life balance and mentoring
- Senior executive & Directorship coaching
I offer you a safe haven where you can explore your internal thoughts, feelings and desires in full confidence and without judgement or criticism. I have helped many clients deal with Bereavement and Loss, Anger, Depression, Anxiety, Narcissistic Abuse, Addiction and difficult relationships. I have experience working with Bipolar, Alzheimer’s, Abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Self Harm and Eating Disorders
I believe fundamentally you have the answers you need and by working together I will help you safely explore what is holding you back and what you need to resolve to move forward. I am committed to your emotional wellbeing, incorporating a holistic approach, mind, body and spirit.
I am caring and empathic and will help you become emotionally stronger as you find your path towards inner peace and happiness.
I created Janet Smith Emotional Wellness Coaching to combine the therapeutic benefits of counselling, alongside modern psychological tools such as hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), coaching and mindfulness. I have been supporting clients for over 9 years and I have successful practices in Horndean and Cosham. I work throughout the UK and abroad via Skype/Face Time.
I have worked with hundreds of clients over this time, some with the most challenging of issues. I have developed my own Freedom2 Emotional Wellness Programme to support my clients emotional wellbeing. I am a mentor for the Reboot program for Eaga Trust and support individual learning and personal development of my mentees, as well as offering therapeutic support for those most in need.
My experience working with a team of coaches throughout the UK has taken me into prisons, womens' refuge, working with young adults and soldiers suffering the effects of PTSD. I work with abuse, trauma, rape, eating disorders, addictions and self harm using Spectrum Therapy. Spectrum Therapy allows clients to "heal from their past negative experiences without having to go into the content".
I am committed to emotional wellness and believe taking care of our own emotional needs will bring about greater harmony and happiness. I believe unresolved emotional issues may manifest in physical symptoms and ‘dis-ease’ in the body. People often ask me how I can work in such a wide variety of issues, but what underpins all these emotionally distressing states are our Negative Emotions, Internal Conflicts and Limiting Beliefs – which is where I work to make positive, lasting change.
Freedom2 Change Day (6 hours including lunch) or Half Day sessions (3 hrs)
When was the last time you took a day for you? Do you spend time, money and effort looking after all those around you, but somehow you seem to be last on the list?
Take one day and kick start your dreams, aspirations and desires or really focus and tackle the emotional issues that are causing you distress right now.
The day or half day sessions are beneficial for those who live further afield or wish to make immediate change now.
"I recently did a half day change programme with Janet following a bereavement. Her therapy techiniques are very gentle and non-intrusive, the wonderful thing about the way Janet works is you don't need to go into context if you don't want to. Spending even just half a day working with Janet has helped me to move forward and begin to manage my grief day to day".
"...Seeing Janet has turned my life around. She has shown me how to look at the positives rather than the negatives and the importance of concentrating on the happiness not the sadness.
I will never forget my lost, loved ones but until the day we meet again I am determined to enjoy my future as I know that is what they would want me to do".
" have suffered from bad panic attacks for nearly 14 yrs and hearing and seeing the success Janet has made to people's lives thought I needed to give it a go as no other treatment I have tried has worked. I attended several sessions and resolved a lot of issues I have carried around with me for a very long time. With Janet's help I have been able to deal with them and finally feel closure on the bad stuff from my past. I now have a much clearer view on life and a better chance of moving forward and doing the things I want to do. Janet is a very caring and understanding person who makes you feel very safe and relaxed during your sessions. A big thank you Janet for all your help."
"Janet is dedicated, conscientious, ethical and I am particularly impressed with Janet's ability to maintain professional relationships with her clients.....Empathic, genuine, caring and offers unconditional positive regard, empowering clients to reach their full potential...she is able to offer several different therapies, enabling clients to have a "holistic" experience.
