About me

You don't have to keep pushing through.

Are you exhausted from trying to keep everything together?

Perhaps from the outside it looks as though you're coping. You're going to work, looking after your family, answering messages, remembering everything that needs doing and somehow keeping life moving.

But inside, you're running on empty.

I'm an experienced counsellor offering online counselling for adults experiencing burnout, overwhelm and chronic stress, with a particular focus on supporting women and neurodivergent adults.

You may not even be sure that burnout is what you're experiencing. You might simply know that you're exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious or struggling to cope with things that used to feel manageable.

Perhaps you've reached a point where something needs to change, but you're not quite sure what.

You don't need to arrive at counselling with everything figured out. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or have the right words to explain how you're feeling.

My approach is relaxed, supportive and human. There is no judgement, no jargon and no pressure to simply "try harder". Instead, we'll take the time to understand what's happening for you and what may have brought you to this point.

Counselling for burnout and overwhelm.

Burnout isn't always about work.

It can happen when life asks too much of you for too long.

It may be the pressure of work, but it can also come from parenting, caring for others, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, perfectionism or always being the person everyone depends on.

For many women, burnout develops after years of carrying the invisible mental load remembering, organising, worrying and anticipating what everyone else needs, while your own needs are pushed further and further down the list.

For neurodivergent adults, the ongoing effort of masking, trying to fit in, managing expectations or feeling that you have to work harder to meet the demands around you can also be exhausting.

Sometimes there isn't one obvious reason you've reached this point.

It's simply that you've been carrying too much for too long.

Does this sound familiar?
Perhaps you're:

  • constantly tired, even when you've rested
  • struggling to switch off
  • feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally numb
  • finding everyday tasks harder than they used to be
  • saying yes when you really want to say no
  • putting everyone else's needs before your own
  • becoming more irritable or withdrawing because you have nothing left to give
  • feeling guilty when you prioritise yourself
  • struggling with perfectionism or feeling that you should be coping better
  • feeling disconnected from yourself or from the things you used to enjoy.

Burnout can affect much more than your energy. It can impact your relationships, confidence, work and ability to enjoy the things you once loved.

How counselling can help
Therapy gives you space to stop holding everything on your own.

Together, we'll gently explore what's contributed to your burnout and begin to understand the patterns that may have kept you going for so long, whether that's people pleasing, perfectionism, masking, constantly putting others first or feeling that you always have to cope.

Counselling isn't about telling you to simply slow down, practise better self-care or become more resilient.

It's about understanding why you've reached this point, recognising your needs and limits without guilt, and finding ways of living that feel more manageable, authentic and sustainable.

We'll work at your pace, creating space for you to reconnect with yourself and begin to work out what you need.

You don't have to keep carrying everything on your own.

My approach
I offer integrative counselling and adapt the way I work to the individual person.

Some people find it helpful simply to have space to talk and be heard. Others find talking difficult and may benefit from creative or more practical approaches.

There is no one size fits all way of doing therapy.

My role isn't to judge you or tell you what you should do. It's to provide a safe, supportive space where we can explore what's happening for you and work towards the changes you want to make.
