About me
I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist, using different therapeutic approaches to suit my clients' needs. People come to counselling for lots of different reasons: maybe you're feeling angry, sad, anxious or confused; struggling with bereavement, life changes, work or relationship issues, or feeling overwhelmed and unable to see a way through it. These are all normal but challenging aspects of what it is to be human. I provide a welcoming and empathic space to explore issues which may be hard to share with others and help you to understand yourself better, the patterns and habits that are troubling you and to make the best changes for yourself.
Seeking counselling can be daunting but I offer a safe and confidential space in which you can share whatever you are going through without fear of judgement. I work with whatever is troubling you but I have particular experience with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and work issues. I use various theories in my work, adapting my style to meet your needs and ensuring you feel in control of the process.
I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and connected with your counsellor so I work collaboratively with my clients and at their pace. Sessions can be face to face or online, and I aim to be as flexible as possible in terms of offering long term, open-ended support or a limited number of sessions to suit your needs. The important thing is to do what's right for you and this is something we can discuss as we work together.
Whatever is troubling you, I will help you to explore it with compassion so you can come to terms with difficult experiences, gain greater self-awareness and feel empowered to move forward.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
