About me
I am an experienced counsellor who offers a warm, supportive space to help you understand yourself better and feel more empowered to make changes if needed. I will be right by your side.
Counselling may sound scary but talking it through with a professionally trained qualified therapist can help you see things more clearly. I will listen without judgement and support you to feel more confident and surer of a way forward.
Your therapy sessions can help by:
· Understanding yourself better
· Increase your confidence and self-esteem
· Feeling that life’s up and downs can be managed.
What I can offer?
Working as an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit your needs, offering both face to face sessions in Basingstoke, as well as online and telephone counselling for those who prefer remote support. I have a first-class honours degree in Therapeutic Counselling alongside a Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Level 5 diploma in Counselling Children and Young People. I am a registered member of BACP. With a background in both the corporate world and education, I have always been drawn to understanding people and helping them navigate life’s complexities.
Counselling is a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive space.
If you are interested in knowing more?
Please do get in touch where we can either arrange our first session or, if you prefer, to talk over the phone for 20 or so minutes to see how counselling can help you. This is free of charge and helps you decide if counselling is right for you and if I am the right counsellor for you. If during our call we agree to work together, we can arrange an initial appointment either face to face, online or telephone – whatever is more convenient for you.
Areas of experience include:
· Depression
· Anxiety
· Loss and Bereavement
· Family issues including estrangement
· Relationship issues
· Low self-esteem
· Neurodiversity
· Burnout
· Work or school related issues
How long will I need?
This is entirely up to you. Some people attend for a few sessions, whilst others attend over the longer term. Each session is up to 50 minutes. Counselling generally works better if we initially start meeting weekly, but we can be flexible and do what suits you.
Location
My private practice is located in a discreet centre just to the east of Basingstoke town centre. Online or telephone is always an option for those who prefer remote support.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
