  • As a volunteer, I dedicate my time and skills to support individuals struggling with addiction. I actively participate in group meetings, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their experiences and seek guidance.
  • I offer emotional support and encouragement to attendees, helping them navigate the challenges of recovery. By actively listening and empathising with their journey, I play a vital role in fostering a sense of community and solidarity.

Mental Health First aider and wellbeing

  • As a mental health first aider, I work closely with individuals who are facing various mental health challenges. I provide support and liaise with Management on finding the best solution for the employee, utilising evidence-based techniques to support their emotional well-being.
  • I conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' specific needs and develop personalised plans. Through active listening and empathy, I create a safe and non-judgmental environment where employees can openly express their concerns and emotions.
  • I utilise my knowledge of different therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, person - centred, CBT and mindfulness techniques, to help clients gain insight, cope with stress, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Additionally, I collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals or community resources when necessary.
