There are many reasons we seek counselling throughout life. Perhaps you’re feeling sad, depressed or anxious. You may be going through a difficult break-up, struggling to cope with loss or battling addictions. You may feel strange or that something just isn’t right! The spectrum of personal difficulties is vast, but there is no need to go through it alone.
Through my training, counselling work and personal life experience, I have come to understand the importance and healing potential of the relationships we experience. Compassion, acceptance and trust are the roots of my counselling practice and within this space, I believe self-understanding, healing and growth can take place.
I welcome people from all walks of life to my service and deeply value the differences in all of us. Counselling is not about changing you into something you are not, it is an environment that encourages the discovery and development of who you really are.
How to get started
If you are interested in starting counselling with me, send me an email and we can arrange an initial 20-minute meeting via zoom or phone. This session is free of charge and is a space where we can talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you might hope to gain from our sessions. It's also a space where you can ask me questions about the process and, essentially for us to get to know each other a little.
After this session, I will leave it in your hands to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. There is no need to worry about turning me down as I deeply respect each of our individual intuition and wholeheartedly understand the importance of choosing a counsellor that feels right. If you decide to continue, we will set a date and time for our weekly sessions and I will email you a copy of our therapeutic agreement.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
