About me

Hi there! my name is Jamie and I'm a fully UKCP-registered Counsellor working face-to-face and online in Bristol.

There are many reasons we seek counselling throughout life. Perhaps you’re feeling sad, depressed, or anxious. Maybe you're going through loss or bereavement, struggling with anger or battling addiction. Or maybe you just don't feel yourself!

Some of us feel we must toughen up or just get on with it and we end up closing off from ourselves and others. Sometimes we create masks or pretend we’re someone we’re not, we tell others that everything is fine when deep down, we are truly suffering.

Whatever it is you bring to counselling, I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and compassionate space to explore, unpack and work through the challenges you are facing.

I welcome people from all walks of life to my service and deeply value the differences in all of us.

How to get started

If you are interested in starting counselling with me, send me an email and we can arrange an initial 20-minute meeting via zoom or phone. This session is free of charge and is a space where we can talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you might hope to gain from our sessions. It's also a space where you can ask me questions about the process and, essentially for us to get to know each other a little.

After this session, I will leave it in your hands to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. There is no need to worry about turning me down as I deeply respect each of our individual intuitions and wholeheartedly understand the importance of choosing a counsellor that feels right. If you decide to continue, we will set a date and time for our weekly sessions.
