About me
Introduction:
I understand that your journey throughout life may have brought you to a point of feeling overwhelmed, consumed and stuck resulting in not being able to progress as you would like. It may help to find someone who will help you to begin to make sense of these emotions, gain some clarity, think rationally and work towards a peaceful and more optimistic future. I am a qualified practitioner who employs a methodology that places you at the centre of our sessions. I will work with you to design a bespoke therapy that is tailored to meet your needs with the aim of achieving your goal of a better, brighter and more optimistic future.
I realise that it can be difficult to make the first step and you may have many questions to understand what to expect from our sessions. With this in mind, feel free to contact me for further information or to discuss any questions you may have. I offer a free, no obligation, 30 minute initial meeting that will allow us to get to know each other, discuss the service I can provide and most importantly your goals.
What to expect in your first session:
Your initial session will be a free 30 minute meeting where we can get to know each other, discuss what has brought you to wanting to finding a therapist and most importantly, discuss what you are wishing to achieve from your sessions. During the meeting we have the opportunity to discuss my commitment to your confidentiality and autonomy through my counselling agreement. I feel that it is important for you to meet your therapist and have sufficient answers to any questions before you commit to your sessions. Which this in mind, not only will the initial meeting be free of charge but also comes with a no obligation guarantee.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
