About me

Hello and welcome,

I am an experienced counsellor offering support to both adults and CYP (children and young people) who have taken the brave and daunting decision to seek support. I will help you explore your emotional conflicts and concerns; patterns of behaviour and negative thought processes.

For me the most successful relationships in life are built on trust, and the client/counsellor relationship is no different. I work in a way that provides you a safe space to share your story in a non-judgemental environment with the aim to enhance self-awareness, thereby enabling choice and facilitating change.

It is my belief that everyone deserves and can benefit from having a space to express themselves, but I strongly believe in the importance of finding the right person. My role is to support you to better understand your unique experience of the world using a range of therapies to help you achieve your ultimate goals.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and have additional specialist training and experience of working with children and teenagers in a school setting. I currently work as a secondary school counsellor in which I have supported students suffering from adverse childhood traumas, depression, anxiety, family issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, anger management, gender dysphoria, LGBTQ+, and survivors of domestic abuse whereby I use an integrative approach to counselling. This means every client is unique and different, no two people are the same. Counselling isn’t a one glove fits all type approach, my aim is to use the best style that suits you the individual.

My counselling room is located in Sidcup, Bexley and is easily accessible with off-street parking.

My theoretical orientation is integrative

I am fully insured and have a valid DBS certification.

I specialise in both short and long term therapy in an environment that is private, respectful and comfortable.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
