About me

I’m an experienced therapist and trainer with over eight years of post-qualification experience, offering integrative, evidence-informed therapy shaped by both humanistic and psychodynamic foundations. Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, warm, and straightforward — someone who brings clarity and calm to complex situations.

I’ve worked with a wide range of issues including anxiety, trauma, identity, relationship difficulties, and burnout, and I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. Alongside therapy, I deliver wellbeing and psychoeducational seminars to diverse global audiences and have held senior clinical roles within national and international organisations.

Whether you’re looking for long-term therapy or focused support through Single Session Therapy (SST), I aim to create a collaborative, non-judgemental space where you feel heard, supported, and gently challenged to move forward in a meaningful way.

I am highly experienced in the delivery of therapy through F2F, video and telephonic channels, and I am delighted to offer my services as such.

If you are looking for professional, compassionate support, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to arrange an initial consultation to discuss how we can work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the renowned Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute and an MSc in Psychology. I have extensive post-qualification experience in both private practice and corporate mental health settings.

I have over 10 years of experience in the field, having worked with seven different Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), private clients, and corporate organisations. My background includes:

  • Over 1,800+ post-qualification client hours, including 900+ hours of Single Session Therapy (SST).
  • Specialisation in brief, solution-focused therapy, long-term therapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Experience in risk assessment, trauma-informed therapy, and corporate mental health support.
  • Former roles as a Clinical Lead, Senior Manager, and Clinical Director, overseeing service delivery and governance in EAP and mental health organisations.

I have delivered mental health training and corporate wellbeing workshops to global companies, helping employees and leaders develop resilience, emotional intelligence, and coping strategies.

I continue to engage in ongoing professional development (CPD) to ensure that my practice remains evidence-based and aligned with the latest research in psychotherapy and mental health.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

As a former member of the uniformed services, I have a particular interest in working with veterans, ex-military personnel, and emergency services staff. I understand the unique challenges that come with transitioning out of service, managing operational stress, and adjusting to civilian life.
