Healthy Vue Therapy, James Penney, (National Counselling Society, MNCS accred) )
20 Hamble Lane
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my page.
I find myself wondering what goes through people's minds when searching for a new therapist. If it's anything similar to what I was thinking when I was doing what you are now, you'll be slightly confused and overwhelmed with how many of us there are. Breathe, take a step back and rest assured that it will all be OK.
What I will say in an attempt to make your choice easier is that finding the right therapist is a bit like trying on a new shoe – it must be the right fit. It may take a few meetings with different people before you find someone who you feel you click with.
I extend to you a warm welcome and invite you to get in touch, take advantage of the free initial consultation and find out if I could be the therapist for you. The initial consultation is where you can talk about what you would like to get from therapy and what, in particular, has led to you looking for a therapist.
It’s also an opportunity for you to meet me, (check I haven't got three heads) and see how you feel generally. We can then make a decision about whether our work together can begin - keeping your best interests at the heart of what we do.
I do hope that what you have read puts you at ease and encourages you to take a courageous step and get in touch.
You can contact me by phone or email. If you choose to call and I am to unable answer then please feel free to leave a message on my confidential answering machine and I will return your call as soon as possible.
I respond to calls and emails from 9am and 6pm - Monday to Friday. If your contact is outside of these hours I will get back to you the next working day.
