Healthy Vue Therapy, James Penney, Adv Prof Dip (MNCS accred)
Welcome! And thank you for taking the time to read my page.
I find myself wondering what goes through people's minds when searching for a new therapist. If it's anything similar to what I was thinking when I was doing what you are now, you'll be feeling slightly unsure and maybe overwhelmed. Breathe, take a step back and rest assured that it will all be OK.
What I will say in an attempt to make your choice easier is that finding the right therapist is a bit like trying on a new shoe – it must be the right fit. It may take a few meetings with different people before you find someone whom you feel you click with.
I extend to you a warm welcome and invite you to get in touch and find out if I could be the therapist for you. We can arrange an initial consultation where you can talk about what you would like to get from therapy and what, in particular, has led to you looking for a therapist. It’s also an opportunity for you to meet me, (check I haven't got three heads) and see how you feel generally. We can then make a decision about whether our work together can begin, keeping your best interests at the heart of what we do.
I do hope that what you have read puts your mind at ease and encourages you to take a courageous step and get in touch.
You can contact me by phone or email. If you choose to call me and I am to unable answer, then please feel free to leave a message on my confidential answering machine, and I will return your call as soon as possible.
I respond to calls and emails from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. If your contact is outside of these hours then I will get back to you the next working day.
