About me
If you have lost someone, are struggling with an addiction, or are trying to find your place in a country that is not your own, you may be carrying more than the people around you realise.
I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk honestly about what you are going through. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start from wherever you are.
My main areas of experience are bereavement and loss, addiction, and supporting people who are living away from their home country. I also work with anxiety, relationship difficulties, identity, and other life changes.
I work with adults and young people aged 14+, in English or Spanish. My approach is integrative, which means I adapt the way I work to you rather than expecting you to fit a particular method.
I offer face-to-face sessions near Princes Risborough, in a peaceful setting at a horse yard, as well as online sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a background in psychology and completed my counselling training in Oxford. I work integratively, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic and transactional analysis approaches.
I have experience supporting people through bereavement, addiction and other emotional difficulties. I previously volunteered with Oxford Men’s Counselling Service and currently volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Support in Oxford.
I also have a particular interest in supporting people who are living away from their home country. Relocating can bring loneliness, cultural differences, changes in identity, and the challenge of building a new life while missing what is familiar.
I am a BACP member, work within its ethical guidelines, have regular supervision, and continue with ongoing professional development.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is an important part of therapy. You need to feel comfortable, listened to, and able to be yourself.
This is particularly important when talking about experiences such as grief or addiction, where shame, guilt, or feelings of being misunderstood can sometimes make it difficult to ask for help.
I don't believe in quick fixes or telling people how they should feel. Grief is personal, recovery is personal, and everyone's circumstances are different. My role is to listen, help you make sense of what you are experiencing, and work alongside you at a pace that feels manageable.
I offer the first 50-minute session free of charge because I believe we need to meet and see whether we connect before you decide to continue. There is no pressure or commitment.
My face-to-face practice is in a peaceful horse yard setting near Princes Risborough. For clients who are interested, I am developing opportunities to spend time around and connect with the horses as part of the therapeutic experience. No previous experience with horses is needed.
If you are unsure whether I am the right therapist for you, you are welcome to get in touch by email or text. We can start with a conversation.
