About me
I work with individuals and couples, offering a warm, welcoming and safe space where we can explore what is causing you distress.
I will support you in difficult moments, offering a respectful, non-judgemental relationship where I hope you will feel heard, understood and accepted. As our counselling work progresses, I will support you to find more clarity and strength in yourself and a way forward that is right for you.
In relationship counselling, I support the communication between you both. I believe it is important that you are both listened to and valued equally as individuals within the therapeutic relationship.
Clients see me about a wide variety of issues including loss of a loved one, redundancy, questions of identity, and relationship breakdown, events which bring dramatic change to our lives often leaving us feeling lost, bereft, stressed, anxious or depressed.
I’m a Registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling (Keele University). My experience includes working with staff and students at three Universities, bereavement and loss, and counselling for staff in the NHS.
As a qualified Online Counsellor and member of the Association of Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO), I’m experienced in offering counselling via Zoom (secure video platform), telephone, email and instant messaging. I am currently offering this service to ensure safe working with clients during the Coronavirus pandemic.
I offer flexible appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please contact me to discuss the best support for you.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
