About me
Offering Counselling for adults (online via Zoom or outdoor therapy) and Counselling for Couples (online via Zoom).
I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and have limited online availability only at the moment. Please contact me by email if you wish to explore further. Thank you.**
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor offering counselling for adults (face to face outdoors in local green spaces in and around Lichfield, or online), and counselling for couples (online).
When I first had counselling, I found that the nurturing, supportive relationship offered by my counsellor was key; it helped me feel safe to explore my problems.
It affirmed my belief that good relationships have the power to help build our own sense of self-acceptance and esteem and repair the hurts and traumas that affect our lives.
I understand that our relationship is key to helping you to feel safe, valued and listened to, and this is at the heart of my practice.
I offer a warm, empathic, non-judgemental space where I hope you will feel heard, understood and accepted. As a trained Person-Centred counsellor, I am client-led in my practice and open to working with the issues that you wish to bring to therapy.
In relationship counselling, I support the communication between you both as a couple. I believe it is important that you are both listened to and valued equally as individuals in our counselling sessions.
I have experience working with clients on a wide range of issues and have developed a special interest in relationships, couples counselling, the impact of neurodivergence, existential exploration/major life change, faith and spirituality, bereavement and loss and eating distress.
Whatever difficulties you are facing, I am willing to work in depth to explore the emotional impact of significant life events on you and help you navigate your way through the changes they bring.
As counselling progresses, I will help you find more clarity and strength in yourself and a way forward that is right for you.
I’m an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling (Keele University). I have been working in private practice for over 5 years and my experience includes working with staff and students at three Universities, working for a bereavement and loss charity, and counselling for staff in the NHS.
I trained as an online counsellor to Professional Member level at ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online) and I am insured and qualified to work nationally and internationally using zoom and email counselling.
I offer flexible appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please contact me to discuss the best support for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
