About me
Hello, I’m Iwona. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. This means I recognise that every individual is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet you as you are, rather than expecting you to fit into a single way of working. I am a registered member of the BACP. I completed my L4 Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and L5 (post graduation) in Psychological Trauma. I am currently completing L6 in Play Therapy.
My desire to support others is rooted in my own experiences of feeling unseen and alone. I understand how heavy that can feel, and it matters deeply to me that anyone I work with feels heard, valued, and supported. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can bring your whole self without fear.
I don’t position myself as the authority in your life, you hold that role. Instead, I walk alongside you, listening with care and helping you reconnect with your resilience, sense of self, and inner resources.
In addition to my private practice, I volunteer with Samaritans and work as a Director and counsellor at the Maddison Mae non - profit Organisation, supporting individuals experiencing grief and trauma. These experiences continually reinforce my belief in the strength it takes to reach out and the healing that can come from genuine human connection.
I am based in Bournemouth/Poole and also provide online sessions, giving you the flexibility to access support in a way that suits you best.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My fees start from £45 per hour, and I offer a reduced rate for students and those on a low income when I have availability.
