About me
Life can be complicated, oftentimes feeling like things are coming at us from all sides. Managing daily commitments and juggling mental and physical health, while trying to enjoy life on top of that, is a lot at the best of times. Especially then when issues arise, living the life you want can feel near impossible.
These periods in life are too often related to more “obvious” things such as life events and transitions, mental and physical health issues, and illness. However, they can also be about more “subtle”, yet very real and common experiences. Things such as sadness and discomfort of where you are in life, how you feel about yourself, how you live, and unresolved past issues, are all valid and worth taking a closer look at. Whatever the challenges, I believe that a safe and non-judgemental therapy space may help you navigate them.
How I can help
I work in a person-centred way, meaning I am here to listen to you with openness and compassion. I also integrate elements of other therapy types per need to best support your therapy goals. I am not here to tell you what to do, but for us to collaborate and together figure out what you need and want, to achieve your goals and aspirations. Whatever you'd like to address in our work together will be approached gently and respectfully, as your experience matters and is unique to you. This will help us build a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship. My hope is that this will help you get to know and understand yourself better, starting a process of change that is unique to you and your therapy goals.
How to get in touch
If you think I could help you, I would like to hear from you. I know how important it is to find the right therapist from both personal and professional experience. That's why I offer a free initial 20 minute consultation over telephone or videocall. Here we can explore what you’re looking for, and whether we may be suitable to work together. Please do call, text, or email me to book the free consultation, indicating preference for call or videocall, or if you have any further questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience & Specialty Focus Areas
I've worked with people with a range of difficulties with mental and physical health, as well as various life challenges, listed in the section below. My training focused on learning about each individual with their unique story. As such, I am open to working with you even if your concerns do not match the listed ones.
I do have areas of particular focus due to my professional and lived experience. My specialties include:
- Neurodiverse people - diagnosed and undiagnosed (academic and professional challenges, difficulties with relating/navigating relationships/intimacy issues, coping strategies, substance use, masking/unmasking, identity, mental and physical health struggles, family issues, etc.).
- People navigating complex health (such as chronic and long-term physical illness and mental health concerns, stress, burnout, and related issues) to live more meaningfully.
- Young people/ young adults (15 years+).
- Students/ mature students/ people in education with related challenges.
- People experiencing occupational health related issues/ workplace issues (e.g., burnout, bullying/ navigating career changes).

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
