About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in painful patterns, or haunted by past experiences? You may be wondering why things feel so difficult — and whether change is even possible. I'm here to say it is.
I’m a qualified CBT therapist with specialist training in CBT for psychosis (CBTp), and I work with people facing a range of emotional and mental health challenges — including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and experiences like hearing voices or feeling disconnected from others.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are connected. Often, these patterns are shaped by past experiences — especially those involving pain, trauma, or cultural pressure — and can quietly limit your sense of safety, freedom, or self-worth. Together, we’ll explore these patterns, make sense of your experiences, and find new ways to respond that feel more aligned with the person you want to be.
-What therapy with me is like:
* Compassionate, collaborative, and respectful — I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where your experiences, values, and cultural background are seen and respected
* Grounded in evidence and shaped by your goals — we’ll work together to find practical strategies and insights that help you move forward
* Trauma-informed and culturally sensitive — I recognise how systemic stress, marginalisation, or family expectations can affect emotional wellbeing and identity
* Rooted in recovery and empowerment — whether you’re struggling with self-doubt, fear, or confusion, therapy with me is about reconnecting with your voice and trusting your own inner wisdom
-Why I do this work:
I’m passionate about creating space for people to feel heard in ways they may not have before — especially those who’ve felt silenced, dismissed, or misunderstood. I believe deeply in the power of therapy to help people rediscover their strength and reclaim their voice. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens not by fixing what's “wrong,” but by helping people reconnect to what's already within them — insight, courage, and the ability to choose something new. I’m especially committed to working in a culturally responsive way, recognising how identity, heritage, and lived experience shape how we move through the world and what healing means.
-I work with people who are:
* Struggling with anxiety, low mood, or self-criticism
* Feeling stuck in painful thoughts or patterns that no longer serve them
* Recovering from trauma, including cultural trauma, relational abuse, or childhood adversity
* Experiencing psychosis-related distress such as voices, paranoia, or detachment from reality
* Wanting to understand themselves more fully and live with greater clarity, confidence, and connection
-Clients I work with often say they leave therapy with:
* A clearer understanding of their mind, emotions, and patterns
* Tools to manage distressing experiences like intrusive thoughts or voices
* A stronger sense of self-trust and the confidence to express their needs
* Greater connection to their values, identity, and purpose
You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. If you’re ready to take a step toward healing — or even just curious about how therapy might support you — I offer a free initial consultation so we can explore whether we’re a good fit.
