About me

Hi there!

Are you feeling stuck in repetitive patterns or overwhelmed by heavy emotions? I believe that everyone has the capacity for change and the right to enjoy a life defined by their own choices, rather than their old scripts. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your emotional difficulties and embark on a path of self-discovery. By peeling back the layers of learned expectations, we will work together toward reconnecting with your true self, the part of you that is creative, resilient, and free to engage with the world on your own terms.

We all face periods of intense emotional difficulty, whether they manifest as anxiety, self-criticism, or a feeling of being "stuck." I believe these difficulties are not signs of brokenness, but signals that our current way of relating to ourselves and the world needs an update. Using a relational and compassionate framework, I help you move from a state of internal conflict to one of clarity and Adult awareness. My passion for helping others unlock their potential is rooted in my own experience of personal growth and self-discovery. I'm committed to creating a safe and non-judgemental environment where you can feel truly empowered to explore your thoughts and feelings, develop new coping strategies, and ultimately, live a life that aligns with your deepest values.

I know how difficult it can be to find and to choose the right counsellor for you, and for that reason I am offering a free 30 minutes phone call or video call, session. This will give you the opportunity to meet me and clarify any questions you may have.

As a counsellor, I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties  such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, frustration, parenthood, childhood, loss, the need to manage harmful emotions and behaviours, or difficulties with coping with traumatic experience and events, relationship difficulties that are affecting their ability to manage life.

Talking therapy will offer you the safe space to be  listened to, understood, heard and it will help you find ways to deal with emotions and feelings such as guilt, anger, pride, anxiety, fear, shame, confusion and grief. I am committed  to offer you the support needed in developing achievable plans for the future, and creating coping strategies in order to bring about effective change and/or enhance your well-being.

I am committed to listen without judgement, be empathetic, encourage and support to  empower you by setting clear boundaries  and be professional by respecting the right to be shown respect, dignity and consideration.

"Without commitment you never start and without consistency you never finish"

I can't promise that everything will be amazing and you will be happy all the time, after having therapy, but I can promise that:

I will be non judgemental and empathetic
I will be working within my competence and with professionalism
I will offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore any feelings and/or emotions
I will be the person that you can build a trustworthy connection with
I will work with you to develop goals and plans,
I will support you to progress and create change
I will explain how I work and reasons to use my interventions
I will keep up to date with my professional training  and have regular supervision in order to ensure an ethical and professional service
I will commit to personal and professional development
I will be open minded and treat everyone with dignity and respect

“The principle aim of psychotherapy is not to transport one to an impossible state of happiness but to help (the client) acquire steadfastness and patience in the face of suffering .“

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
