About me
Hi, I’m Ifza, a BACP registered integrative counsellor offering a calm, structured, and supportive space for people who want to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful changes in their lives.
Therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are not sure where to begin. You do not need to have everything figured out, but it is important that you feel ready to engage in a consistent, weekly therapeutic process where we can explore things together over time.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulties in relationships. These experiences are often connected to earlier life patterns and ways of coping that may no longer feel helpful.
My approach is integrative, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic and attachment-informed therapy. This means we may explore both current challenges and the deeper emotional patterns and early experiences that continue to shape how you feel and relate to others today.
Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and attentive. Alongside this, I offer a structured and boundaried therapeutic space where the focus is on reflection, understanding, and longer-term emotional change rather than short-term reassurance or advice.
How I work
Therapy with me is a structured and collaborative process. Sessions are 60 minutes and take place weekly at an agreed time. Consistency is an important part of the work, as it allows trust to develop and deeper exploration over time.
I work in line with the BACP ethical framework. I do not offer ongoing messaging or contact outside of sessions other than for scheduling purposes, as the therapeutic work is held within the session space. This helps maintain clear boundaries and supports a focused and consistent process.
Together, we explore emotional patterns, relationships, coping strategies, and how earlier experiences may still be influencing your present life. This may include attachment patterns and parts of yourself that feel stuck, self-critical, or overwhelmed.
My aim is to support greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, and lasting change over time.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Level 4 Higher National Certificate and a Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Counselling and Applied Psychology. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
My clinical experience includes a specialist placement within an eating disorder service, providing both individual and group therapy. Alongside this, I have over 15 years of experience working in mental health settings, including inpatient services, children’s residential care, and specialist support services for young people.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
