About me

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure where to begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out. I will meet you where you are, offering a steady and supportive space to begin this process. If you feel ready to explore your experiences more deeply, I welcome you to get in touch.

I am qualified Integrative therapist registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). I offer a warm, compassionate space where we can explore not just what you are struggling with, but why these patterns may have developed.

People often describe me as warm, grounded, and attentive. I work at your pace, creating a space where you feel safe enough to explore, reflect, and gradually make sense of your experiences. Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and centred around helping you feel more connected to yourself.

Many of the difficulties we experience as adults such as anxiety, feeling stuck, low self-worth, or challenges in relationships can often be traced back to earlier life experiences. My work is rooted in a psychodynamic and attachment-informed approach, helping you to gently explore these deeper patterns and understand how your past may be shaping your present.

I work relationally, valuing the therapeutic relationship as a central part of the process. Together, we pay attention to recurring emotional patterns, early experiences, and the ways you have learned to cope or protect yourself. This may include exploring attachment dynamics and connecting with younger, more vulnerable parts of yourself that may still be carrying unmet needs.

Rather than focusing solely on managing symptoms, I support you in developing insight, self-awareness, and compassion towards yourself. This deeper understanding can create space for meaningful and lasting change, allowing you to move forward with a stronger sense of self and emotional clarity.

I have experience working with trauma within an eating disorder service, which has shaped my sensitivity to the complex ways distress can show up. I support clients with issues such as attachment and relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, emotional neglect, low self-esteem, and feeling stuck in repeating patterns.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Counselling and Applied Psychology and have completed a Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Counselling and Applied Psychology. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical framework.

My clinical training includes a specialist placement within an eating disorder counselling service, where I was offering individual and group therapy. Alongside this, I bring over 15 years of experience in mental health support roles across inpatient services, children’s residential settings, and eating disorder services for young people. This experience has shaped a thoughtful, compassionate approach to working with complex emotional needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
