About me
Hi, I’m Holly. I’m a fully qualified and insured person-centred counsellor with over 6 years experience of working in both statutory and private mental health services with both children and adults.
I offer a warm, relaxed space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on in your life, without judgement or pressure. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who they are anymore. You might be navigating anxiety, menopause, a loss of identity, low self-esteem, family difficulties, ADHD, or the impact of past experiences or trauma.
My approach is person-centre. My role is to walk alongside you, listening carefully and helping you explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels right for you. We move at your pace, focusing on what feels most important.
I offer in-person sessions for those local to me, online sessions for clients across the UK, and walk-and-talk therapy for those who find it easier to talk while moving or being outdoors.
I aim to create a space that feels calm, welcoming and down-to-earth.
I offer a short e-introductory session, giving you the chance to ask any questions and get a feel for how I work, so you can decide whether I’m the right therapist for you.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Attachment, Trauma and Mental Health, and an Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story Work. I am currently preparing to begin a Master’s in Art Psychotherapy.
My core approach is person-centred, which means I believe in the importance of creating a genuine, empathic and accepting therapeutic relationship where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.
I have extensive experience working within mental health services across both local authority and health board settings. This has included supporting individuals living with schizophrenia, personality disorders, paranoia, depression and anxiety. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people can experience mental health, and the value of meeting each person as an individual rather than a diagnosis.
I bring this experience into my private practice, offering a compassionate and grounded approach to therapy that supports each client in finding their own way forward.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
