About me

At times like this when there is so much uncertainty going on around us, we can all need a little extra help and support.

If you're struggling to get through the day, because you're feeling anxious, or have a sense of flatness or depression with your life, even if you don't know why, or if your using coping strategies that aren't healthy or helpful... then maybe I could help and support you, and we can find the answers together.

I see adults, couples and young people at my home based practice in West Sussex.

I am offering face to face sessions following government guidelines - please also see my web site. I am also working via Skype, Face Time and by phone, which still allows me to offer you a high level of therapeutic support.

I know that taking the first step towards seeing a therapist can be scary and daunting, especially if you are struggling or feeling anxious already, so I offer you a free 30 minute consultation and a quiet and confidential space to explore and discuss your personal issues.

As an experienced Counsellor working with a wide range of clients who bring with them a variety of different issues, I tailor short, medium or long-term therapy to your needs.

If you are experiencing difficulties with overcoming anxiety, depression, suffer from poor self esteem, are recovering post divorce, are affected by bullying/ abuse, would like to improve relationships, or escape emotional eating, are looking for support in your recovery with CFS/M.E or a brain injury, then please get in touch.

So Why Choose Me?

I am a Mum, a step-mum, a wife and a rescuer of dogs! I have also had to overcome my own health and emotional issues, so understand that we are only human and although our bodies and minds want to work the right way, the balance can easily go array.

I am also a compassionate and emphatic therapist, who will work with you to find out why you have reached this point in your life. I will work alongside you with my therapeutic approaches and guide you through your therapeutic journey, enabling you to make sense of your life and make the changes that you are looking for.

One of my held beliefs is that we all have the key to the gateway of our mind, although we sometimes need help in today's busy world. If you are struggling and would like help and guidance to gain clarity and explore the possibility of change, let us work together to determine the approach we take.

At times we all need a little help... we just don’t always know where to look for it.

Please get in touch today, either by calling me on: 01273 494064 / 07774148285 or click here to send me an email.

Why Choose One-to-One Counselling?

Large and small problems in your everyday life can become overwhelming. Working together we would look to lessen these issues to something more manageable, with a move towards emotional wellbeing, awareness and choice.

Through gradual change and in developing a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, we can work together towards understanding your anxieties, fears and the barriers that may be preventing you from moving forward in your life...

So let me, help you to help yourself.

Whatever your problem may be, we can work together to bring positive changes into your life. To arrange a free confidential consultation at my clinic in West Sussex please contact me via my web site or on the numbers listed here.

Principles and Ethical Codes of Practice.

As a therapist I have a "Duty of Care" to You my client, which means putting your interests first and ensuring your therapy is empathetic and supportive whilst we work towards your symptoms, issues or problems being resolved.

To that end I underpin my practice with UKATA's code of ethics, which include their Guiding Principles of;

  • Open communication.
  • Above all doing no harm.
  • Working with 'The contractural method',

and Philosophical beliefs of;

  • Everyone is OK
  • Everyone has the capacity to think and influence their life by the decisions they make.
  • Any decision can be changed.

My aim… Is to utilise my clinical and life skills in helping people who may be struggling with problems or issues in their lives.

To achieve the necessary changes during the course of your therapy, my purpose is to ensure that You feel safe and held in a non-judgmental and confidential environment.

Where you are able to discuss your thoughts, feelings, memories and emotions that need processing and working with. You are at all times in control of your therapy and your therapy is tailored to your needs, whilst focusing on empowering you to improve your life as much as you choose to...

So… “let me, help you, help yourself”.
