About me

Having faced my own personal struggles and worked through my own trauma, I was inspired to embark on a journey to become an integrative counsellor. My ultimate goal is to provide support to individuals who are going through difficulties, helping them to overcome their own challenges and reach a place of inner peace and emotional well-being. I am currently working as a renal counsellor within the NHS, where I have gained invaluable experience in dealing with a wide range of patient issues. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with Mind, a renowned charity that provides support for individuals facing various emotional and mental health issues. Working with Mind has given me the opportunity to further develop my skills as a counsellor, while also providing me with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling. of issues that have impacted my clients.

As a therapist, I provide my clients with the flexibility to choose between different modes of therapy such as online, phone, and text sessions. My paramount priority is to form a collaborative relationship with my clients where they feel supported, heard, and understood. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts and emotions without any reservations.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a trained integrative counsellor, having trained for 6 years all leading to me achieving a Ba (Hons) in Integrative Counselling under UEA.

This means that I have been trained and understand many counselling modalities. These include Person-Centered therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Gestalt therapy, Existential therapy, and Transactional Analysis. I do not believe that there is a 'one size fits all' therapy.

The therapy will be as individual as you. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients. As much as I offer insights, challenges and offer techniques, you are the expert in your life. This is your self-awareness journey, I am merely here to facilitate, support and explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to enable you to reach the goals you have set upon seeking therapy.

I have spent over a year working with Suffolk Mind as a counsellor, encountering a range of issues brought to me by my clients. I also work with their nighttime telephone support service, Suffolk Night Owls. I also work part time within the NHS, as a renal counsellor.
