About me
Many of the people I work with appear to be functioning well on the surface, yet privately feel dissatisfied, self-critical, stuck, or troubled by recurring patterns in their lives.
I am a BACP Registered Psychodynamic Counsellor with over ten years’ experience working with clients, and have been in private practice in London for six years. I work with adults in both long-term and shorter-term counselling, in Central London, Finsbury Park and online.
People seek therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, workplace stress, or a sense of feeling stuck. Equally, you may want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the patterns that seem to recur in your life that trouble you.
My approach is psychodynamic. I am interested not only in the difficulties that bring someone to therapy, but also in the patterns of feeling, thinking and relating that may lie behind them. We can explore how these patterns have developed and how they may continue to influence your relationships, choices and experience of yourself.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in financial services for over 15 years.
Alongside my private practice, I am an Assistant Course Tutor at Highgate Counselling Centre, where I teach counselling skills to counsellors in training and facilitate their personal development. I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and an MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies from University College London (UCL).

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP-registered Psychodynamic Counsellor with extensive experience working with adults facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, workplace stress, and feelings of being stuck.
My background combines academic training and clinical experience:
Clinical Practice & Teaching: Alongside my private practice, I work as an Assistant Course Tutor at Highgate Counselling Centre, where I originally trained, and continue to help educate the next generation of counsellors.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My fees range from £70 to £90 per session, which applies to both the initial consultation and ongoing weekly therapy.
I offer a limited number of lower-cost spaces for individuals on a low income. Please mention if you require a concessionary rate when you first get in touch so we can discuss current availability.
Sessions take place at the same time each week and last for 50 minutes.

Locations: I see clients in person at consulting rooms in Finsbury Park (N4) and the City of London (EC3V). All locations are centrally located with excellent transport links.
Online Sessions: I also offer secure, end-to-end encrypted online therapy sessions for clients across the UK or those with hybrid working schedules.
