About me

Welcome. I am a qualified psychotherapist and supervisor, with experience of both short-term counselling (6-12 sessions) and longer term psychotherapy. I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, struggling with a broad range of difficulties.

I now offer in-person therapy to individual adult clients in West London (W2), North-West London (NW5) and online therapy via Zoom. I am committed to offering you a safe, confidential place to explore your concerns, hopes and fears in a respectful and non-judgemental environment.

I previously worked within the NHS for 8 years and during this time, I developed a specialism in working with childhood trauma, complex family relationships and related symptoms. For instance, you might struggle to manage your emotions, feel hyper-aware of other people's moods or find navigating relationships difficult.  To support this work, I have completed specialist training in methods that work with the body, mind and nervous system to process trauma gently and effectively.

I also offer therapy around issues such as: anxiety, depression, loss (bereavement/end of relationships/redundancy), low self-esteem and identity issues (family, cultural, work, sexuality).

I have a particular interest in working with people who either have, or suspect they may have, neurodivergent diagnoses such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia.

How therapy can help

At some point, most of us experience difficulties in our lives. Talking with friends and family members can be helpful. However, sometimes this is challenging. You may feel that you do not want to ‘burden’ others or are concerned about upsetting them. You may also feel embarrassed or fear judgement from talking about what’s troubling you. Evidence suggests that talking about your difficulties in counselling/psychotherapy can help to better understand and manage what you are experiencing.

My approach

I trained as an integrative therapist, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic schools, traditions and practices. This means I can work with a range of tools and approaches to create the therapy that is best suited for your needs. It is important to know that there is no fixed agenda for our sessions and we always agree together how we work - it is your time and space.

My way of working considers how past experiences can impact on our everyday experience of ourselves and our relationships, as well as considering the body-mind connection. I have a special interest in energy psychotherapy techniques which can alleviate the physical and emotional symptoms experienced after trauma, as well as creative ways of working, including art, dreamwork and psychodrama. Due to my time working in the NHS, I am also experienced in using techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT).

Supervision

I offer supervision - vital for enhancing therapeutic practice and maintaining professional standards when working or training as a therapist. I offer 50-minute individual supervision sessions to therapists in private practice or those who are in training. I also have experience in offering group supervision and reflective practice within organisations (training organisations, NHS and the voluntary sector).

If you would like to make an initial appointment or to find out more about me and my work, please book a free initial 30 minute call to discuss how I may be able to help. You can also contact me by phone or email with any questions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed a 5-year diploma in counselling and psychotherapy in 2015 at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London, as well as a one-year diploma in practising energy psychotherapy in 2021 with Confer.

I regularly take part in different training to enhance my education and keep my skills current.

I am UKCP accredited and I am bound by their code of ethics. I work with GDPR compliance in accordance with UKCP for confidentiality.

I worked full-time within the NHS as a Principal Psychotherapist within a community mental health team between 2017-2025. As part of this role, I was Team Lead for a therapeutic community and I have a continuing interest and passion for groupwork, relational practice and co-production.

In addition to my therapy work, I also teach and supervise other therapists who are in training or qualified:

  • Teacher and Supervisor at Energy Psychotherapy Training from 2022-present (This is a training that offers methods for working with body, mind and nervous system to process trauma gently and effectively www.energypsychotherapytraining.co.uk)
  • Staff Facilitator and Supervisor at CCPE from 2021-present

Previous therapy work experience:

  • Private practice from 2017-present
  • Director at Help Counselling 2015-2017
  • Coordinator at Maytree 2013-2014

Previous non-therapy work experience: I worked in editorial and communications roles both in the private and voluntary sectors.
