About me
Hi, I’m an experienced counsellor with wide experience in working with adults, children (aged 11+) and young people.
I offer telephone, online and in person support in my own therapy room. I also offer walk and talk therapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As an integrative therapist I incorporate a range of techniques to tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue or simply a space to talk and process difficult emotions or experiences counselling offers a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore any difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences that you may want to talk about in a confidential environment.
Some people want to just talk things through and others come to develop more effective, healthier coping strategies. I work with my clients at your own pace and offer short and long term counselling.
I have additional training in working with neurodiversity and many clients I see have a pre or post diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.
At the heart of my work is offering a space where you can feel safe, respected as a unique individual and valued for who you are.
I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including including anxiety, depression, neurodiversity including autism and ADHD, self esteem, panic attacks, bereavement, low self confidence, relationships, abuse, trauma, family issues, self harm, suicidal thoughts and more.
My work with adults includes working in community centres with people who were either self of GP referred. I have additional qualifications in working therapeutically with children and young adults and I currently work in a local grammar school where I have worked for 5 years.
I have an enhanced DBS and a qualification in safeguarding.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
