About me

Are you someone who tries hard to work on yourself, who cares deeply and has spent years coping, yet still feels anxious, depressed, or stuck in the same old patterns? You might be holding things together on the outside while feeling uncertain, disconnected or overwhelmed inside. I'm truly passionate about offering a gentle, supportive approach that's focused on you, giving you the attention and focused care you deserve.

I offer focused, relational therapy space for those who want to explore and better understand relationships, with self, others, and the world around us. I offer sessions in person, online, or a mix of the two.

My work is relational and humanistic, but don't worry if those words don't mean much to you - the most important thing is the therapeutic relationship itself. Together, we pay attention to your past experience and current relationships, to help you notice patterns that may once have helped, but now feel limiting.

I work at a thoughtful pace. I'm not directive or prescriptive and I won't rush you. Instead I create the conditions for you to gain a deeper understanding, emotional safety and meaningful change over time. I work with ADHD, autism and neurodiversity in a sensitive and considerate way.

Training, qualifications & experience

Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP). I follow to the BACP ethical framework in all I do.

My counselling qualification is a degree: FdA Humanistic Counselling (TA), from Middlesex University. This training gives me belief in human potential, with insight into how the structure of self affects our lives, from communication and relationships to self-image and confidence. Ultimately, the theory is there but in reality, it's the relationship and empathy that matter most.

As an ADHD partner, I have lived experience of how neurodiversity can affect relationships. If neurodivergence features in your life, I bring warmth and understanding.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

If you feel you have issues not listed here, it doesn’t mean we can’t work together. Counselling is very rarely about “just one thing”. Through counselling with me, you can feel supported to explore the layers of your experience in a safe and ethical way, without judgement.
