About me

I am a qualified and experienced therapist, offering both short and long-term counselling.

I provide a compassionate, respectful space where I accept you without judgement or prejudice. This gives you a bedrock of safety to explore whatever is concerning or important to you, at a pace that feels right. With warmth and care, I aim to understand your story from your unique perspective, honouring your lived experience.

I work with people aged 18 and upwards, offering in-person appointments in Kinross and online appointments, UK wide. I provide one-to-one therapy only.

Please do get in touch to work with me or find out more. I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have significant experience and a deep passion for supporting people through periods of transition. I believe times of uncertainty and transition can become opportunities for deeper self-understanding and meaningful change, and I am committed to helping clients unlock newfound pathways.

I have worked therapeutically with adults through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP’s) in healthcare, education and retail sectors. My experience specialises in supporting clients through anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, and workplace-related challenges. My experience also includes working with individuals and families affected by substance misuse.

Additionally, I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people, having counselled in school settings. This experience covers navigating challenges relating to identity, emotional discomfort, self-esteem, family dynamics, and the pressures that can arise during different stages of development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

For therapy to be effective, it is necessary to build trust in the relationship between client and counsellor. In turn, this creates the safety and connection needed for you to grow and thrive through therapy.

I offer a compassionate, thoughtful and collaborative space to adolescents from18 years to adults from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. I use an integrative approach, tailored to meeting each client’s needs where they currently are in life. Together, we can explore what you choose, including environment, relationships, narratives or any event that may shape the way you see life. I draw on a selection of different models; attachment styles, developmental stages, personal narratives, creative materials, solution focused and future desires. This individually tailored approach will enable you to make conscious choices towards a richer life.

My work is informed by theoretical principles, and underpinned by person-centred and psychodynamic training. I have a commitment to continued professional development. I have studied a broader range of therapeutic models which I weave into my practice, alongside utilising my own lived experience and learning from therapy.
