Helen George Therapy for Women
I am an experienced and fully qualified BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor who works both in the NHS and Private Practice.
My professional expertise is in supporting women to overcome their difficulties in relation to their mental health.
I am passionate about providing women a safe, containing and non-judgemental space where they will feel comfortable enough to talk about the issues they are experiencing and work towards meaningful change.
I specialise in working with women suffering from a wide range of issues. These include:
- Domestic Violence
- Panic attacks
- Sexual assault
- Sexual abuse
- Relationship difficulties
- Bereavement & loss
- Women's health
- Life transitions
- Pregnancy related concerns
- Pregnancy loss
I also have a special interest in supporting women who are struggling to come to terms with not being able to have children.
I am also a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) and listed on their Find a Counsellor directory.
Free telephone consultation
I understand that it can be difficult to make the decision to come to therapy. For this reason I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation, where we can think together about how the therapy could be helpful for you and ultimately, you can get a sense of me and how I work.
If after our telephone consultation we decide that it would be helpful to meet, the next stage of the process will be a face to face initial consultation where we can discuss your needs in more detail and how we can work together.
I am based at the OneTwoFive Therapy Rooms which is located in Stroud Green, North London, N4. The location serves both the Finsbury Park, Crouch End and surrounding areas.
Please feel free to contact me with any queries.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
