About me
I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever may be troubling you, whether that is anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, stress, overwhelm, or simply a sense that something does not feel right. I work at your pace, either face to face from my quiet, discreet counselling room in Royston or online via video link. I am a fully insured Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I work with adults to help them to understand themselves better and to live the life they desire. Whether that is being troubled by low mood, grief, bereavement, relationship difficulties, anxiety, loneliness, depression, midlife/menopause, life changes, low self esteem or something which is difficult to pinpoint without help. We will explore what brings you to counselling together.
I work in partnership with my clients to enable them to live more fulfilling lives. Every individual experiences life in a way unique to them. I will work with you with compassion and without judgment.
I believe that counselling is helpful not only when life is challenging - sometimes having the opportunity to explore what is going well in your life with someone outside of family and friends can be of value.
Please get in touch and we can have an informal chat to explore how we can work together. I work face-to-face from a private room in Royston, or online using Zoom.

I work with adults to help them better understand themselves and the way they experience life. Together, we can explore what has brought you to counselling and what may help you move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties including depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, bereavement, life changes, midlife and menopause, as well as problems that can be difficult to put into words without support.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe each individual deserves to be met with compassion, acceptance and without judgement. I work collaboratively with my clients, recognising that every person experiences life differently.
Counselling can be valuable not only when life feels challenging, but also as a space to reflect, grow, and better understand yourself. Sometimes it helps simply to talk openly with someone outside of family and friends.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
