About me
Are you wanting to bring about changes to your life and the way that you live it? Things may feel overwhelming, difficult to manage, or you just feel stuck and don't know how to move on.
Perhaps you are dealing with feelings of anxiety, unhappiness, low mood , depression, anger, sadness or loss.
You may be struggling with life in general, a relationship, abuse, isolation, a bereavement, a stressful life transition, an eating disorder, trauma or ADHD, or something else.
Perhaps you are not sure what it is you are struggling with, together we can try & find out what it is that is causing you distress.
I understand how hard it can be to reach out & seek support. I offer an initial session at a reduced rate, this allows you the chance to meet me & to get a sense of how I work. You will then be able to decide if I am the right counsellor to help you, and for us both to see if we feel we are a good fit to work together.
I will support you to explore whatever is troubling you.
I will support you to identify any patterns of behaviour.
Perhaps these patterns of behaviour have become unwanted & have left you feeling stuck & hopeless.
We will work together at a pace that feels safe for you, you will be listened to & truly 'heard'
I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and I offer a non-judgmental and empathic way of working.
My counselling training is in an integrative counselling model. This enables me to draw on humanistic, psychodynamic and transpersonal theories and approaches to working within the therapeutic relationship.
I believe each person is a unique individual of great value with immense potential for personal growth. This is reflected in how I work in that the counselling will be tailored to what works best for each person. Holding each clients own uniqueness, preferences, beliefs and values.
I have chosen to specialise in eating disorders, and have completed a specialist diploma from the National Counselling Society in this field.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
