About me

Are you wanting to bring about changes to your life and the way that you live it? Things may feel overwhelming, difficult to manage, or you just feel stuck and don't know how to move on.

Perhaps you are dealing with feelings of anxiety, unhappiness, low mood , depression, anger, sadness or loss.

You may be struggling with life in general, a relationship, isolation, a bereavement, a stressful life transition, an eating disorder, trauma or gambling addiction, or something else.

I understand how hard it can be to reach out & seek support.  I offer an initial session at a reduced rate, this allows you the chance to meet me & to get a sense of how I work. You will then be able to decide if I am the right counsellor to help you, and for us both to see if we feel we are a good fit to work together.

I will support you to explore whatever is troubling you.

I will support you to identify any patterns of behaviour.

Perhaps these patterns of behaviour have become unwanted & have left you feeling stuck & hopeless.

We will work together at a pace that feels safe for you, you will be listened to & truly 'heard'

I offer a non-judgmental and empathic way of working.

I have chosen to specialise in eating disorders, and have completed specialist National Counselling Society training in this field.

Disordered eating is sadly much misunderstood, not only the impact that is has on sufferers but also on their families & friends.

If either you are a sufferer, or you are a family member or friend of a sufferer, please do get in touch.

Although i specialise in disordered eating, I work within all areas of counselling.

I have had specific training in working with 'complex trauma'

I have had specific training regarding working with clients with gambling addiction.

I attend regular supervision & abide by the BACP Ethical Framework.

I am fully insured & registered to keep personal records with The Information Commissioners Office.

Please contact me if you have any questions about how I work, or would like to book an initial session.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
