About me
I specialise in maternal and fathers Mental Health, alongside running my private counselling practice, I work for the NHS community midwifery team, visiting families during their early postnatal time.
Having led a weekly Pandas peer support group (UK charity for perinatal depression and anxiety) and co-facilitated a monthly Dads Mental Health group I've gained a deep understanding of the many complex emotions pregnancy, (matrescence) such as infertility, loss, birth trauma can bring.
The transpersonal aspect of my work means that I work on your pure potentiality, not that something is wrong or broken, as you enter therapy your mind, body and soul are calling for renewal and personal growth.
At times, with your permission I work creatively, using image, dreams, objects and meditation, all can be helpful tools aiding contact with parts of us that have previously been not so accessible to conscious thought, allowing aspects of ourselves that have been hidden or disowned come to the surface, revisited with compassion, love, empathy for growth and transformation.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work with a range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, low mood, identity, and life transitions, with a particular focus on trauma recovery and narcissistic abuse recovery. This includes support for those who have experienced emotional or psychological abuse in relationships, family systems or peer dynamics such as jealousy and bullying.
I understand how trauma can affect your sense of self, relationships and nervous system. You may experience emotional overwhelm, difficulties with trust, or feeling disconnected with your self. Together we can gently work towards building self trust and a stronger sense of identity.
I have experience supporting women who have experienced narcissistic abuse, including the impacts of gaslighting, scapegoating and emotional neglect. Our work may include developing healthy boundaries, processing difficult experiences, and reconnection with your inner resilience. I also enjoy working with members of Generation Z, offering space that is sensitive to the uniques pressures and experiences facing younger adults today.
Alongside my private practice, I work within an NHS community team, supporting families postnatal period. I have facilitated peer support groups for perinatal mental health with the PANDAS UK charity and a Dads' mental health group in Brighton. Matrescence and parenthood brings new life and excitement, but it can also create a sense of losing yourself, grieving your former identity or feeling uncertain about new responsibilities and relationship dynamics - especially under the pressures of societal expectations. Independence and autonomy may feel reduced, and unhealthy coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety can sometimes emerge. Fathers can also be vulnerable and traumatised, particularly after witnessing a difficult birth. Parenthood may surface unresolved attachment issues from their own childhood, along with feelings of loss, guilt and anger. These are sensitive topics that can be explored in a safe confidential therapeutic space.
With your permission, we may incorporate trauma informed experiential approaches such as somatic body awareness, breath work, exploring dreams, creative arts, visualisation and meditation. These approaches can support nervous system regulation, deepen insight and lasting healing.
