About me

I am passionate about supporting adults and young people to accept themselves as they are and thrive in their chosen path. I offer a warm, accepting relationship to give clients the space to discover their own motivation and strengths. I meet the client where they are right now, accepting the challenges and frustrations and providing the knowledge they need to develop the strength and tools to navigate education, work, friendship, relationships and ambitions.

I have been trained to provide person-centred counselling, which means I work hard to understand exactly what is going on for you and stay with you in the process of figuring out how you feel. I am a qualified counsellor for adults, working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity, life transitions and processing traumatic experiences. I am experienced with working with young people who have ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and learning disabilities or SEMH issues. I have completed an Extended Diploma in Children and Young People's counselling, giving me the knowledge and experience to work creatively and sensitively with young people at their development stage and with awareness of their attachment style. I have many years supporting neurodiverse young people and adults to understand themselves and the world around them and to grow in their own sense of self and resilience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
