About me

Hello, I help adults who feel stuck or disconnected to reconnect with themselves and find a way forward that feels true to who they are.

Feeling trapped in a life that looks good on paper, but doesn’t feel quite right on the inside can be really isolating and frustrating. We can end up struggling with self-doubt and guilt for wanting change. But you're not alone, and don't have to navigate it alone either.

We can work so hard to build a life that we thought we were supposed to want; only to find out it just doesn't feel like we thought it would. When things look great on the outside, but then that just doesn't match how we feel - we can end up putting all our energy into keeping up appearances as we drift further and further away from ourselves.

This mis-match can leave us feeling exhausted, questioning our choices and feeling guilty for wanting something else, and often like we 'should' be happy. We can feel confused about what steps to take next and experience a quiet dread that we're going to make the wrong choice.

If this is something that you resonate with, you are not alone.  It is worth investing in yourself. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes, therapy begins simply with the sense that something no longer feels right.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and used to coping. But when it comes to themselves, they can feel lost, uncertain, or disconnected from their sense of direction.

I offer a non-judgemental and collaborative space where you can slow down and listen more closely to yourself and explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace; without pressure or judgment.

Together, we can begin to untangle what’s not working for you anymore, reconnect with what matters to you, and find a way forward that feels more honest and aligned with who you are. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and a practice of self compassion; so that change can emerge in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.

Drawing on my experience in supporting post traumatic growth, step by step - you can begin to realign and reconnect with your authentic self.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over a decade of experience working as a therapist, I know that what may seem impossible now, can become your reality.

I have lived with a chronic health condition since I was young and know that life can be complicated and harder than we ever wanted it to be. I also know that it is possible to find your way to a life that is rooted in everyday joy and connection.

Over the years, I have worked with people to help them navigate the complexities of being human, and emerge with a sense of themselves. I have also sat with people as they embraced who they are and lived authentic lives of grounded joy and purpose.

I want that for you.

I want you to be able to live a life that is connected to your true self; that is filled with everyday joy and the confidence to weather the storms of life.

The way I work is deeply collaborative; rooted in the person centred approach and integrates coaching skills, creativity and positive psychology. I trust you to know yourself best, and we'll work at your pace. This is not about finding ways to silence your internal alarms, but more about learning to develop and trust your own internal compass.

I am accredited with the BACP and was awarded an MSc in Counselling Psychology by Keele University in 2016. I have a diploma from the Grove in Integrative Supervision, a certificate in Relationship Counselling, and a Certificate in Coaching Skills. It is important to me to invest in developing and deepening my knowledge and understanding of different ways that we can experience life, and I always have more to learn about how we can navigate it with compassion and connection.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I help thoughtful, capable adults navigate the gap between a life that looks 'good on paper' and a reality that feels stuck, helping them build a way forward for themselves and their authentic selves.

If you are feeling guilty for wanting support and asking yourself 'is this bad enough', I want to remind you -  your well-being is important and worth giving time to.

Often people contact me because they are feeling:

  • Stuck, lost, or unsure of their direction,
  • A loss of meaning, purpose, or identity,
  • Persistent self-doubt or overthinking,
  • Feeling disconnected from themselves or their emotions,
  • Navigating life transitions or difficult decisions,
  • Burnout, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm,
  • Coming to terms with a change in relationships,
  • A sense that they are living according to others’ expectations rather than their own.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it's really important that we feel comfortable working together. You’re welcome to get in touch via email to arrange a free initial conversation to see whether working together feels right for you.

Sessions and Fees

I offer 50-minute online sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Weekly sessions provide the steadiness and continuity needed to explore things at depth, particularly at the beginning of our work together. Some clients choose to move to fortnightly sessions once they feel more established, or if they prefer more time between sessions for reflection and integration.

I usually recommend beginning with a 12-session commitment. This creates a clear and contained space for meaningful exploration, with a natural review point at the end.

Fees:

12-session block – £960
4-session block – £340
Single session – £90

Blocks are paid in advance and sessions take place at a regular agreed time.

If you’re unsure what frequency would suit you best, we can discuss this in an initial consultation.
