About me

Hi, my name is Hayley! I am a neurodivergent counsellor. I'm trained primarily in transactional analysis with some person-centered counselling, and I'm registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Transactional analysis is a versatile form of therapy, as it can be used to help understand complex and apparently contradictory dynamics between people. In fact, as a neurodivergent person that's what drew me to it! It also works well for group and couples therapy, and is wonderful for exploring issues stemming from childhood.

While I'm not strictly speaking an integrative therapist, I like to use aspects of other models when working with clients: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt, even a non-dualist spiritual approach.

I currently work purely in private practice, and love the work I do, whether you're coming with a specific goal in mind, or whether you just want to 'feel things out' until you can identify a clearer direction.

Training, qualifications & experience

I began my training in 2010, starting with a series of courses in person-centered counselling. The final course introduced me to several therapeutic disciplines, including transactional analysis, which I enjoyed so much that from then on I knew which area I wanted to specialise in! After that I took a Diploma in Counselling at The Link Centre specialising in TA, and qualified in January 2022.

I enjoy learning about new aspects of therapy and continue to expand my knowledge.

As of September 2022 I am training to earn my Certificate in Transactional Analysis to qualify as a psychotherapist.

I work mostly in private practice. I love working this way, and offer a wide range of sessions to clients: online or in person, in any one of 3 offices or walk-and-talk.
