About me

**I'm accepting new clients**

Hello! I'm a counsellor specialising in transactional analysis. The clients I'm best suited for are at least one of the following:

- neurodivergent, or believe they might be so
- childless not by choice, or exploring being childfree by choice
- estranged from family, or considering limiting or stopping contact with family

Plus, I can help with a wide variety of other issues including anxiety and depression.

I take an approach of radical self-acceptance, and treat neurodivergence as something to be embraced, and even enjoyed.

Many people, especially women, are choosing not to have children nowadays, and this opens up lots of questions about what they might do instead (if indeed, they want to do anything 'big'), and how to respond to pressure applied by family and friends to have children. I even run a group, both online, and in person, to discuss all aspects of childfreedom! Ask me for more details if you're interested.

Estrangement can be a scary and lonely path, and I believe nobody should have to walk it alone. It's also not for everyone, so I strive to offer the support a would-be estranger needs at the time they come to me.

Previous clients have described me as open-minded, gentle, direct, and creative.

I work from a number of offices around Bristol depending on your convenience and my availability. Contact me or check my web site for further details. I can also work online or on a blended basis.

Training, qualifications & experience

I began my training in 2010, starting with a series of courses in person-centered counselling. The final course introduced me to several therapeutic disciplines, including transactional analysis, which I enjoyed so much that from then on I knew which area I wanted to specialise in! After that I took a Diploma in Counselling at The Link Centre specialising in TA, and qualified in January 2022.

I enjoy learning about new aspects of therapy and continue to expand my knowledge.

As of September 2022 I am training to earn my Certificate in Transactional Analysis to qualify as a psychotherapist.
