About me
I offer a supportive, creative and honest environment to explore what it's like being you. Whether it's anxiety, depression, family difficulties or something you don't have a word for yet, what's really important in therapy is the relationship that we build together. We will work collaboratively to find an approach which suits you and enables a move towards meaningful change.
I am trained in a number of approaches but I draw primarily on psychodynamic theory in my practice. This means we might spend time discussing present-day concerns, as well as events or relationships from your earlier life. Together, we'll explore how your past may have influenced your life and relationships, identifying how you can move forward.
While I work with a wide range of conditions or concerns, have a special interest and experience working alongside clients with ADHD, autism, people with disabilities/ health conditions and those with diverse gender, sexuality and relationships.
Starting therapy can feel daunting; if you contact me I will do my best to let you know what to expect at every stage. I am committed to offering an inclusive therapeutic environment and so aim to be flexible in my approach. If you have a question about what I offer or if I can work with a particular issue, don't hesitate to get in touch.
How to get started:
Contact me via email letting me know you are interested in beginning sessions. It can be helpful to tell me a little about what you are looking for or what brings you to therapy, or you might prefer to save this for when we speak. If you are looking to have sessions at a particular time or day please let me know.
I will reply to you as soon as possible to set up an initial consultation session. This is a 50 minute appointment where we'll have the space and time to discuss your concerns and you can get a sense of how I work. If we agree to work together, we'll organise a regular weekly session.
